As a 4th grade teacher at Tuscany Heights in NEISD, I have had the pleasure to get to know Kelly Lepeska for the past four years, and I have witnessed her passion and extensive knowledge of the fine arts through our school’s learning labs. A learning lab is where parents and/or professionals come to the school to share their career or a hobby that could possibly pique the children’s interest. She had the children completely engaged with learning how actors get into character to perform a scene and how actors and actresses sometimes use improvisation while performing a scene.
Gregory M Spicer- 4th Grade Teacher at Tuscany Heights
My daughters have been taking piano lessons with Kelly for about 6 months and they have loved their time with her. Kelly holds them accountable for their practicing and progress, while still making their time spent learning fun. Kelly gives them assignments that are appropriate to their age and ability, and pushes them to be their best. She is patient, calm and kind, and has made my daughters’ first experience with learning a musical instrument very positive and engaging.
Erin Sharkey - Assistant Band Director- Barbara Bush Middle School
From the moment I met Kelly Lepeska, I instantly felt her passion for education. Having taught her children in elementary school, I watched first hand her commitment to their learning and having the opportunities to participate fully in band. I also had the opportunity to watch her teach drama classes to our students and see their joy in what she was teaching. With her talents and drive, she will no doubt have an incredible impact on the lives she touches.
Coach Kayla Fonger - Educator at Tuscany Heights Elementary
As a music Educator in the NEISD, I have gotten to know Kelly Lepeska as a huge supporter and love for the world of fine arts. Where there is passion there is a retention and Kelly has the desire to engage children through dancing, singing, acting and so much more. We are so fortunate to have a creative director and location in our Stone Oak community where stories can come alive and dreams can come true.
