Improv Carol Returns!!
Second Act Productions had a soft opening with The Play That Goes Wrong in February! Despite its limited run, the cast and crew gave an incredible show! We are looking forward to offering more comedy to the Staone Oak Community in the years to come!
From Mischief, Broadway masters of comedy, comes the smash hit farce. Welcome to opening night of the Cornley University Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor, where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show—an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines). Nevertheless, the accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences! Part Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes, this Olivier Award–winning comedy is a global phenomenon that’s guaranteed to leave you aching with laughter!

The Unbreakable Timmy Cratchit
Tickets are now on sale!!! The Unbreakable Timmy Cratchit! There are people who are excited about Christmas, and then there’s Tiny Tim Cratchit – he’s never met a seasonal sweater he didn’t love. When he discovers his overworked parents could use some extra cheer this year, the oddball optimist drafts his skeptical sister Belinda into a last-minute quest to make enough money to buy the perfect gifts. The entitled customers, pushy elves, and ruthless carolers shopping on Christmas Eve are enough to test the most festive soul, but generosity comes from unlikely places in this galloping, joyful reversal of A Christmas Carol.

The Music Man Kids!!
Second Act took their show on the road and performing The Music man Kids LIVE at the Las Lomas Spring Dinner and Dance on April 29th.
When smooth-talking con man Harold Hill arrives in a small, tight-knit town in Iowa, he expects to dupe its residents with his elaborate money making scheme: Despite his complete lack of musical literacy, he will convince everyone that he is a brilliant bandleader and recruit all the boys in town to form a band, pocketing the cash for instruments and uniforms. The problem? Some of the town members, especially the stern librarian, Marian Paroo, don’t quite buy Harold’s story. As Harold struggles to keep his scheme afloat, he also finds himself increasingly attached to the townspeople, who have all experienced a positive change since Harold came to town. As All-American as apple pie and as charming as can be, The Music Man Kids was a crowd-pleasing success!

Announcing the cast list for Spamalot, Young @Part!!
Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, this adaptation of MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, and was followed by two successful West End runs. The outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will delight casts and audiences as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.”
This show is open to performers in grades 3-8!
Performances have been rescheduled to March 24-26, 2023. Ticket info will be announced in early March 2023.
