28 Jul We’re (Still) All In This Together
Second Act began almost a year ago and we had an amazing winter session. We were heading full speed ahead… until Covid-19 hit. With our heads held high, we still managed to put together a great first show- 42nd st, Young Performers Edition. We were also fortunate to hold a small scale camp. Unfortunately, the virus is not slowing down as quickly as we would like. We have had to make the hard decision to hold off on our Shakespeare camp for now. Until the numbers decrease enough to make live theater a reality again, we feel it is in the best interest of everyone to hold off for a little while longer.
Looking ahead to the fall and beyond, it is our hope that we will be able to offer more in-person acting and music theater classes. In the interim, we will still offer online opportunities. Joining us, is our new Production Intern, Kate Whittaker. Kate just graduated from Claudia Taylor Johnson High School and will study theater beginning Fall 2021. Her strong performance and dance background is a welcome addition to our community!
It is our strongest belief that by 2021 we will once again be in full swing with classes, private lessons, and more productions! By next summer, we hope to add an adult performance component! Great things are still on the horizon! Thank you for hanging with us so far, and we hope to continue to grow and continue to support the arts in the Stone Oak Community.
